In anticipation of my long trip to China, I have just downloaded Skype. Although I have international cell phone service for my time in Beijing, it's pretty expensive. Skype, on the other hand, allows me to make unlimited calls from my computer to your cell phones or landlines. So, whenever we want to talk, we just have to arrange a time and then I can call you via Skype.
If you ever want to get in touch with me first, though, you should get Skype (download the free program here). Once you have Skype, you can make a screen name, add me to your contacts list (my screen name is simlee333), and then we can talk whenever you want.
If you have a video camera for your computer, we can video chat for free. You probably won't want to do that, though, because my exhausted face is going to be an eyesore for a while. If you don't have a video camera, we can still talk over Skype's internet phone, or at the very least, instant message.
I have paid a subscription fee to Skype so that I can call your phones, but I want to make it clear that if you get the Skype program and talk to me over the internet, communication for both of us is completely free. I'm posting some screen shots so that, in case you haven't ever used it before, you can get an idea for what it's going to look like. Can't wait!
